That way, you don't buy what you can't afford. Living on plastic can be a very good way of running up huge debts and incurring massive interest rates, unless you stick to your debit card and don't go overdrawn.

It's the way our family's always worked, and until hard cash becomes obsolete, I still think it's the best way. Debt-free is worry-free.

Today's youngsters're going to find it tough. They want things "today", and can't wait and save up like their grandparents might've done. Their own parents went into debt, and they see it as a quick way of getting stuff. Then they pay for it for years.
