Appetite for disaster...
Re: Appetite for disaster...
well they are sellling well..
Re: Appetite for disaster...
LOL. OK., I'm not going to argue about that. A lot of people like Axl, and a lot don't. I don't even care for AC/DC that much, so really, they can rope in anyone they like to act as their singer.

Ha ha ha. Well I love old Elton, but he just wouldn't have the right sort of voice for AC/DC songs.
I was listening to Adam Lambert with Queen again the other day. It seems they invite him on tour now, as the crowds like him, and he CAN reach notes like Freddie did, so I think fans've given their approval. Freddie's shoes were giant ones for someone to step into, weren't they?

I never knew them when they first came out - no pun intended - but I like them these days.

Haven't got one T. They've done a few good ones. Which's yours?

Re: Appetite for disaster...
OMG! Well I'd never even heard of it, so had to have a listen. I can't find any translation for it, but understand odd words. It seems to be praising Mohammed. I didn't find it remotely "spellbinding", but it IS interesting that there're at least 2 references to Islam within Freddie's songs. Take "Bissmillah", which means "in the name of Allah" in Islam, and it seems that the song called "Mustapha's" dedicated to the prophet Mohammed, so there was some influence within both songs, although Freddie rarely spoke of, or followed, the Zoroastrian religion, which was founded by a Persian prophet and influenced not only Islam, but Judaism and Christianity alike. Complex.
