I might not remember actual songs coming out, but I've heard quite a lot of different music. You were lucky to've been part of that punk scene.

Music was so varied...
I hated folk now embrace it..
Punk was interesting though even if it only lasted a very short time...
Jazz fusion and the explosion of the synthesiser was wonderful..

Can't say as synthesised music appeals to me much, but it's as you say - new sounds're created all the time, and even when they're not, new songs appeal to different people.
