I didn't really know him..

He was, apparently, in A bouquet of Barbed wire, although I never saw it. He was in Life Begins, The Four Musketeers, Othello and Oliver. Many famous actors including Roger Moore and "Boycie" from Only Fools & Horses've paid tribute to the man for being a fine actor and story teller.
