I'm not overly fond of it these days..
you know, in an argument my ex wife cut my guitar strings with a pair of Scissors..
She said she was a music lover....guffaw...

Aren't those strings made of steel? It must have ruined the scissors.

No Sir,
it was a Spanish acoustic guitar...the strings are of a lighter guage...
I've still got the guitar with new strings and no wife...result!

I think you made the right choice. I happen to have an acoustic Spanish guitar as well. The strings are nylon if I recall. I don't play and received the instrument from a cousin who worked for a music supply house. At the time, some thirty or more years ago, i went through a couple beginner books and learned some chords. I'm a terrible singer so that it never worked out. Besides, my fingers became all calloused after a few weeks. I wasn't too happy about it back then.

It's a Conrad460. Don't think you ever heard of it because it's at last forty and maybe fifty years old. My cousin at the time was working as a purchasing agent for a musical instrument supply house and received this and a few other instruments as samples from a Japanese manufacturer. It sounds mellow and all, but I don't have any idea how popular this particular brand ever became. And, by the way, I doubt that I'd fit into any other band than a band of robbers perhaps.

I think the frame makes the picture look good. I'm glad to find out that Conrad wasn't just a flash in the pan. I had ambitions for being a folk singer at one time, but then was told I have a terrible singing voice. LOL

I play for my own enjoyment which is just as well!

After 2-3 years of fiddling with my guitar I decided I wasn't going anywhere and gave it up. It was a great pastime and taught me a thing or two about playing the instrument. I was surprised to see that some of my rock idols of the day were not really playing the guitar in their hands. The fingering, if any, was way off.

I feel like discovering him some more....

I'm not that big on classical music, but Segovia certainly did know how to make great music. Have you ever used a 12 string guitar?

The sound is very melodious but I have not studied it properly at all,
there is one here at work in the cupboard....
how the dickens do you string/tune it Yogi?

Back in days wen I studied guitar, last century, I had a friend who owned a 12 string. I did try to play it once and it was a very unique sound. The second string of each pair is tuned to the second harmonic of the primary string. If you had a good ear you could hear the resonance. The tone sort of dipped when you were at the right spot.
