Not exactly. I think maybe the guy took too many prescription tablets but didn't mean to do that much harm to himself? Then again ..... how does anyone know with these people? They have millions of pounds and still need to take drugs, whether they make out it's for a genuine medical condition or not.

Well they say it was to ease some hip pain - probably - and yet it seems the extra-strong painkillers're so easily prescribed in the US. Here, someone'd only get them if their doctor thought it was vital, and their dosing'd be monitored, reducing the amount if it seemed that dependence was forming.

When I broke several bones in my arm two and a half years ago, I was at hospital for about 3 hours before I was offered.... a paracetamol! I refused!!

How on earth did that happen?

Can't you remember? October '13. I whined about it because it took me nearly a year for the bones to knit back properly. I was just leaving my doctor's surgery, and slipped on some leaves! People thought it was funny, saying I was in the right place, but I wasn't. I had a feeling I'd broken something, and went off to hospital where they gave me loads of X-rays. I'd splintered a bone from my elbow downwards, broken 2 fingers, my wrist and a bone in the other side of my hand. Surprisingly, I wasn't in a tremendous amount of pain, but my hand and arm swelled up like balloons.

Oh yes , of course....how worried I was....gee...

It hurted .... but I was brave. I'd never broken a bone before, let alone so many in one go!

True. I was wearing heels and the soles of my boots were slippery anyway. I wasn't expecting to walk far though, as the car was waiting outside, but a few feet were all it took to send me crashing down. B*gger!

In my case, no. I knew I'd done something pretty bad by how my arm and hand swelled up, but considering the damage, the pain was minimal.

well at least you were'nt hurting..
alcohol is a natural antisceptic..
