He was a fabulous addition to rock music!

Adele's voice isn't bad for what she does. The girl's done well, but let's face it - again - her songs appeal to older people and to a certain middle of the road audience, irrespective that it's earnt her a lot of money.

No one can call her songs exciting though. She doesn't whip people up into wanting to join in and get dancing. She's more melancholy and heart-rending, which's fine if you want to feed any depression and retreat into yourself.

I have a friend who loves her, but she only plays her songs to remind her of her own failed relationships and to feel empathy with the words. Bugger that. I like to feel happy and inspired.
