When you think of Blue, B B King has to be the first person you think of. He is gone now at the ripe old age of 89. Rest In Peace Blues Boy

B B King
Re: B B King
Sad, sad news, indeed! I read about it while still on vacation and was very saddened by it. I saw him in concert just over one year ago (I've been a fan for years, but had never been fortunate enough to have attended one of his performances previously), and, while disappointed, perhaps, that his performance *wasn't* what it was in his heyday, was still impressed that his guitar playing, at his advanced age, was still almost as sharp as it ever was. He was, indeed, the "king" of the blues, and the music world will suffer for the loss.

Re: B B King
When he worked in his youth as a DJ, he was known as "Beale Street Blues Boy," which was later shortened to "Blues Boy" and then finally to B.B.
