I think these displays would be interesting to a medical student or biologist. People find artistic expression in strange ways and this is not so out of the box. I would agree, however, that they are uber creepy.

would be interesting to know what they died of as they look to have been quite healthy, apart from that being dead bit...

wax models, tom, relax!

I've read about the fine art of making people look presentable and yes, the work they do is amazing. take former m-I-l f ex. at her funeral she looked like she'd just dozed off for a bit. she died of cancer and last time I saw her alive, she was this little, old, shrivelled up woman with waxen complexion and sunken cheeks and eyes. the illness had not been kind to her and they'd had quite the tug-of-war for a long time.

by the time she was presented at the funeral, she had rosy cheeks and looked 20 years younger....
