One of the amazing things about this photograph is the curvature of the model's (punkin) face. It's damn near perfect, which I suppose is something that goes along with youth. The rule of thirds is effectively being applied to add focus on the subject's visage. And, the hint of tint adds a vintage quality to an already stunning monotone composition. Hopefully that girl received top grades in her class. It's an outstanding photo that can indeed easily be restored. The digitizing of the original, however, certainly must have taken something away from the original work, but there is enough perfection built into the photo for most people not to notice the difference.

I told punkin and when she'd stopped blushing, she sent a message to the girl who took the picture.
