I got drunk once in my life and gave up drinking after that. It's been more than four decades now.

I will say that my experience was with well aged Scotch Whiskey ... very fine spirits, indeed. But, it made me aware of how I was abusing my body. There was a reason it was objecting to what I did, and I did not want to aggravate it.

I once had an uncle who I never knew drank until I saw him sober one day.

When I drank Scotch, I don't recall ever being hung over. When I drank so much of it that I became physically ill (not the same as hung over), I knew it was time to change my tastes.

Luckily I didn't end up like :redneck: lol
I have to be careful what I drink nowadays....see another thread for that info.So I drink in moderation now.

I may have a sip of wine at a wedding just for the toast. Otherwise all the alcohol I consume these days is part of the recipe for the food I cook. Even then most of the alcohol evaporates.

Ooh cooking with alcohol eh Yogi? Nice....can't beat a bit of sherry in trifle, or brandy sauce with pudding. Yum!

I've put stout in my chili, but never tried shampoo. It must be good at cleaning out one's intestines.
