Ha ha ha! No - they might copy me!!!

I shall enjoy taking them out to different places, going to the seaside, watching them take music or ballet lessons, seeing them ride their first bikes and learning to swim. Eeee, it'll be grand, Watson! : )

I know that 2 more people came forward again, so acquitted or not, it DOES make you wonder. Would someone go through all that, not just once, but twice, if it was all a lie? I don't know. You just have to believe that the verdict was right.

I'm not sure about that. Just supposing .... that there's been a huge cover-up ... would it be fair to name the accusers, who'd be made to look like liars?

I think that if Cliff's innocent, then he should now say no more and just get on with his life. If he WAS guilty, I hope his victims can learn to forgive him and get on with theirs.

why was he so worried if he was innocent?

Well like I said before, having that sort of accusation hanging over you's horrendous if you're innocent. Put yourself in that position. If someone accused you of doing something like that, you'd be furious and rightly deny it. Once someone's been branded with connections to child abuse, it's very difficult to shift the rumours, and no decent person wants to be associated with anything so hideous, but either way, Cliff's going to deny everything isn't he? He wouldn't admit to something like that, but, as we've all seen, celebrities often DO get away with stuff like this.

Pete Townsend only just managed to escape being done for downloading child porn, by saying that he was doing research for his book. Do you really think he needed to look at such photos first? I don't think so.

Bill Wyman was bedding the under-age Mandy Smith. He started dating her when she was 13, and according to Mandy herself, she slept with him when she was 14. She says that if all this'd happened today, Wyman would've been jailed. All sorts of people in the entertainment business've had "iffy" reputations, and it can irrevocably damage their careers, so anyone with a penchant for young people'd deny it to the hilt. You only have to look at Gary Glitter ......

Glitter's different...
My point is ...if you've not done anything wrong you don't have to worry..

Oh I understand your point, T, but I suppose it's easy to say that when you're not being accused of it. It'd worry me greatly if it was publicly suggested that I had anything to do with such vile practices, but yes, I can see that continuous denial'd make things look worse. No smoke without fire, sort of thing. What a horrible topic. : (

I saw him live when I was 12 year's old. Even then, he had loads of energy. I wouldn't buy his records, but he obviously still wows the crowds to've kept going for 6 decades or whatever it is.

Well I know that it was a reasonable day, but a very wet evening by the time Floyd came on. I took the full battering of it as I was sitting up on someone's shoulders, but at least I had a good view.

Cliff came on earlier in the day, after Flock of Seagulls I think it was. He wore a pink suit, and was leaping up and down off speakers, and moving back and forth across the stage. I didn't know many of the songs, and can't remember the ones he DID sing, except for Wired for Sound, and some really old rock 'n roll type ones which older people were jiving to! I thought he was good, actually.

No I'm not! It's possible that I got the band wrong though, and I think I did. Tears for fears, methinks. Sorry.
