We had a little bit of rain, yes, but not as bad as in some places, and no thunder.

Nor me. I read today that we could be heading for an Indian summer, with temperatures going right up into the 20's again by the middle of the month. It's going to be warm next week as well, but what with the hurricane along America's east coast, we'll no doubt get the tail end of that when it crosses the Atlantic.

Sort of, yes. It's still very pleasant up here though, because the temperatures're still above what we'd normally be getting. It's almost 10 pm now, 11C and no wind. It's been a nice day. No jacket needed, and I still have the remains of a cold, so it's not "heating-on" time yet.

Oh no! Hope you get it done before the really bad weather sets in. Do you have radiators or storage heaters?
