No chance. Those old vinyls'll be worth a lot of money one day. Doesn't matter how many years they're kept for. The longer the better.

Collapse!!! :lmao1:

Oh dear oh dear, that's so funny!

Calm, calm. No, we save various things for the kids, any grandkids or whoever, to benefit from one day. It's only sensible. We have antique toys, books and all sorts. Could amount to quite a LOT of money, actually.

But it's a fact Arch. We don't do it to benefit ourselves, but it's nice to think that someone in the family'll inherit some little treasures one day. Wouldn't YOU like it if you suddenly found that you'd been left something which was quite valuable?

Well ... each to their own, but it doesn't take much to start saving objects of possible later value. You have to appreciate trends. If you have any old toys belonging to your children, hang onto them. See if you have any old shirts, or logo'd T shirts from years ago. The latter always make money, especially if you have any with the name of bands (and tour dates) on them. Then there's old records and books of course, comics, jewellery, pottery (like old vases and bowls), vintage jackets. If your mum has a china cabinet or a dresser/cupboard with some old stuff in it, have a look at what's there, and ask her if you could have - whatever; old plates, salt and pepper pots, teapots, thimbles, silver spoons ...... you might be amazed by what it's a good idea to keep hold of.

Not necessarily. Like you wouldn't get a hundred first-edition or very old books, but you might get 2 or 3. That wouldn't take up much room, and it'd be a great start to a collection.
