Organic's definitely the best, but even better if it's home-grown by yourself or someone you know, because a lot of organic produce sold in shops's still sprayed by "permitted" chemicals, or doesn't strictly fall into an organic range as we'd like to believe.

No, sedentary jobs or pastimes don't help with weight matters, but a bit of exercise in between should even things out.

Thank you - I never get the results until the following month, but funnily enough, tomorrow (or today as now) I'm going to ask about them. Should be OK.

I know, and I commend you on that. I think you're brave, having a cannula in the vein, because they're somewhat bigger than a standard needle.

Well done Tomsk. I admire you for doing it. What blood group are you?

The ABO system
There are four main blood groups defined by the ABO system:

•blood group A has A antigens on the red blood cells with anti-B antibodies in the plasma
•blood group B has B antigens with anti-A antibodies in the plasma
•blood group O has no antigens, but both anti-A and anti-B antibodies in the plasma
•blood group AB has both A and B antigens, but no antibodies
Almost half (48%) of the UK population has blood group O, making this the most common blood group.

Receiving blood from the wrong ABO group can be life threatening. For example, the anti-A antibodies in a recipient with group B blood will attack the group A cells if transfused to them. This is why group A blood must never be given to a group B person.

As group O red blood cells don't have any A or B antigens, it can safely be given to any other group.

The NHS Blood and Transplant website has more information about the different blood groups.

you are a rare one! O is the common one...Tuh!

Apparently mine's not too common, but it's not classed as rare. Think I'm A rhesus positive.
