We have been enjoying our new home here in Missouri for the past year. It's quite an adventure. Our youngest granddaughter will be going to university not too far from here so we look forward to seeing more of her. Some of the family will be visiting in a couple weeks to view that eclipse. I expect half the midwest will come to watch it as well.

I don't know if the eclipse will be visible as far north as you are. We are in a good geographical location for viewing and are hoping the weather does not disappoint us. Even if it is cloudy and raining, at least some of the family will be here. That's not all bad. Hopefully wife will be recovered from her surgery by then.

It looks like it will take 6 hours from first shadow to last. The orbit duration of the ISS is around 90 minutes if I recall correctly. That means it could have as many as 4 views from between the earth and the moon. The awesome part is that the astronauts will see the shadow crossing the surface of the earth in one direction and the moon crossing the sun in the opposite direction.

mind totally blown :redneck:

It's all in the mind. Each one of us creates a separate universe in our minds. It makes perfects sense to me. No two people see things the exact same way.
