I don't think they are playing baseball yet. It's still winter and too cold for that.
The Super Bowl is the climax of the American Football season. I'm sure there is an equivalent soccer playoff series, but I'm not at all sure what it's called.

I never thought of it that way, but given that football is a contact sport the breaks are needed. I've watched a soccer match or two and was bored by the lack of scoring. I suppose there is a lot of strategy going on, but then too, that's what makes watching a chess game interesting.

Cricket is one of those things I would have on my bucket list if I had a bucket list. I've witnessed no more than 5 minutes total during my entire lifetime. However, my curiosity has always been strongly encouraging me to see what it's all about. You would think in these days of high tech and instant communications that it would not be a problem.

I'm not sure I can deal with 5 days of cricket without a conclusion. :redneck:

That's not cricket", meaning whatever is happening is not being done according to the rules
Have you heard the phrase; 'The batsman's Holding the bowlers Willy' Yogi?

I'm familiar with what the phrase means, but I don't get how the game of cricket has anything to do with doing it the right way.

I've not heard of 'The batsman's Holding the bowlers Willy'
The mind boggles at the possible interpretations of that one. :yikes:

Well, there was a West Indian fast bowler called Michael Holding and an English batsman called Peter Willey...!

the funniest cricket moment undoubtedly is dear old Johnners radio commentary...
