I grew up watching the Laurel and Hardy films, probably their original showings. It's hard for me to decide if they are the best or if it was Groucho Marx or perhaps George Burns who played the Palace Theater at age 100. There has been a lot of good entertainment since Laurel and Hardy, but I don't think anyone has surpassed them. Apparently society has become too sophisticated for that type of humor. I agree with Mr T, they were just funny. They had no agenda other than to entertain.

they got on fine but had different interests when not filming..Stan liked editing their work and Olllie like sports events..they were lifelong buddies....
