For a pop group which appealed to all the family, I can't think of a better foursome. They cracked out loads of records, and they still have thousands of fans. You're right about any concert tickets though. They could probably do a show once a week and pull in a full house at every one.

I don't think so Arch. Although I've heard plenty of their songs, they were a little before my time. It might be alright to go along just to SAY I'd seen them live. I imagine that their shows'd be quite good, but at the price the tickets'd go for .... I think I'd say no. Would you?

Yes, I think holograms're being used more and more, as with some Michael Jackson concert, and talk about a forthcoming one of Prince's. OK., so the fans get to see their idols as they remember them, but it seems different if the singer or whoever's passed away. It just gives everyone another chance to feel that they're still there - unlike Abba, who ARE still here. For the massive sums of money that they've been offered to reform for just one gig, you'd expect them to respect the wishes of their fans, however against performing together again they are.

I agree in principle, but I think they DO owe their fans. It's they who bought all the records and went along to their concerts, enabling the group to have lavish lifestyles.

OK. So if you'd been in a world-famous band, wouldn't you feel that you owed your fans their last request for you to reform, if only one more time? I would. I'd be happy to oblige.

Hmm, Pink Floyd did that - but they still play separately when it suits. Their fans want The Floyd back together, even if it's just for one-off gigs. Those guys've become incredibly wealthy, all thanks to the loyalty of their fans. I think it's bad they don't show some appreciation.

'Dark side of the moon' is a ground breaking album but mostly I find them gloomy...
