RIP Bobby Vee

Post by Icey »

He was before my time, but while I was looking at what songs he made, I found a whole raft of singers who seem to epitomise the era.

I seem to've heard those songs somewhere before. Maybe my parents had some - or maybe even I'VE got them now!! LOL.

Arch, all these things're stored away at the top of the house, under boxes of whatever. I don't have the time or inclination to go rummaging round. I know there are a few Elvis singles, but I don't know which ones. I really wouldn't play those anyway. I'm not a great fan of that type of rock 'n roll, but they came with the rest. I know there's quite a lot of punk stuff amongst the old rock.

Not as I know to! I know there's one or two Gene Pitney ones though. Was he from that era as well?

No, but I just don't feel the desire to go to such trouble. It's not like I'm planning on selling anything, or I particularly want to listen to a certain record. If I did, I can find it online and save the wear and tear on the vinyl.

No, only a rough idea, but since it's earmarked to be passed on, I really don't think about it much.
