Glastonbury 2016
Re: Glastonbury 2016
Phew ...... it could've been worserer!
No, I'm not a Cockney, and you know I'm not.

Re: Glastonbury 2016
You'd call me posh, but I just speak how I was brought up to speak - correctly.
Re: Glastonbury 2016
It doesn't bother me how other people speak. I like regional accents, and so long as I can understand what they're on about, that's fine.
I had a bit of a job yesterday though. I had to call a phone network company, and after pressing about 30 keypad numbers, finally got through to someone who was of some Asian disposition. I couldn't decide whether she was from Pakistan or China - I'd probably been re-routed to one of those countries anyway! The conversation was hard going. She was jabbering away very quickly, which made it worse. I had to ask her to slow down - about 3 times - and even then, her pronunciation made things very difficult. Eventually, I think we got things sorted out, but I won't know until an ordered item comes through. I don't want to have to have another go. : (

Re: Glastonbury 2016
Good grief. It's so embarrassing when you have to keep asking someone to repeat something ... several times. It makes YOU look stupid, or deaf or something.
Re: Glastonbury 2016
especially in a manic office and all sorts is happening..
Re: Glastonbury 2016
I don't know about that. It's a fair few years since I've been in a manic office.
Re: Glastonbury 2016
it can be really fun...if you get on with your colleagues..
Re: Glastonbury 2016
I never had any problem with work colleagues during the few months I was at work, but then, I wasn't expecting to. I just treat people as I expect to be treated myself, but I wouldnt've liked to've worked in one of those large open-plan offices where no one speaks to each other or even says "good morning". How odd!

Re: Glastonbury 2016
Yuck - but still .... a job's a job. It can't be very nice to work in such a place though.
