me too,
But I'd probably set the place on fire..
Have you got your Kaftan on?
It must be very atmospheric hearing the howling wind blow through the chimney..
and the light of the moon...do you hear any owls hooting?

You wouldn't set the place on fire if you had secure candle holders/sticks, but you have to watch where you put them. I've got some slate coasters and chopping boards which're perfect for standing candles on. If one fell over, which it wouldn't, it couldn't set anything on fire anyway.

No, got my dressing gown on. Going to bed soon.

Owls hooting? Nope. You can't hear anything apart from any wind there might be.

On saucers???? Not on my saucers they wouldn't!!!! Perish the thought of my Spode being ruined by wax!!!!

LOL!!!!! Well if you place a candle in a saucer or on a plate, you have to secure the thing so as it doesn't tip over.

No, not really, but how long DOES a person keep up with a string of puns? One or two are funny. A couple of dozen become a yawn I suppose.

Yours are fine, pudding. It's when you get people who reel off joke after joke, thinking they've got someone's attention. Really, surrounding company're starting to get bored with it by then. I know at least 2 people like that.

I never tell jokes when I'm out. I leave that to those who can put one over better. I may come out with a pun or a quick comment, but only in front of family and very close friends.

Not at all. I couldn't stand to be one of those people with an idiot-face on all the time, laughing away at nothing or pretending that something was funny when it wasn't. I'm not a natural joke teller, but it must be in the way I relate things which makes people laugh - or I shut up and listen.
