interesting that this concept has always been around; something like buying indulgences later on in the middle ages.

ticket to ride...
Re: ticket to ride...
While there is no reference to it in the article, I'm guessing that only males got to use these golden passports to Elysium. Also interesting (to me) is the reference to Dionysus, a god who I was named after. Apparently he was one of the important hancho's in the underworld along with Hades and Persephone. The story of the underworld and it's characters is part of Scorpio's mythology; all of which I find to be fascinating.
Re: ticket to ride...
i rather doubt your parents were thinking of dionysus when they named you...
Re: ticket to ride...
There was an old cartoon character called Denny Dimwit. That's who mom had in mind when she named me - so she said.
Re: ticket to ride...
lol! more like dennis the menace, no?
Re: ticket to ride...
I think I was a typical boy growing up, but never thought of myself as a menace. The reference to Denny Dimwit has to do with his pointy head. Mom said mine was like that when I was born, thus the name.
Re: ticket to ride...
silja had a pointy head, too...
Re: ticket to ride...
I hear that's common among us sub-geniuses
