a very informative article on both the neanderthal people and the scientists who study/studied them. apparently we are learning not to be such schmucks after all:

The neanderthals pictured in that article Vikki quoted do not have much hair on the people. I wonder how accurate that is.

i'm thinking they ought to be fairly furry, but the main point here being to present them as intelligent and 'civilized. people tend to think of hairiness as someone being a stupid brute, so maybe this was an attempt at showing a genteel person?
