I think it's a conditioning which lingers from the days when anything dirty or rough and tumble wasn't seen as feminine, but there's no earthly reason why girls shouldn't enjoy stuff like that. Women's football still doesn't get the crowds which men do, and some male football fans refuse to accept that women've encroached on "their" game.

Well, they behave in a proper and lady like fashion...
One of my Sisters is a 'wrong un' very selfish and I'm happy to never see her again....
