When I first retired nearly 20 years ago the company paying for my drugs filled the prescriptions themselves. They then mailed me the pills. I never tried to abuse the system but somehow I got ahead of the game. It was all done over the Internet. I'd go to their web site, request the drugs, and voila. They showed up in the mail a few days later. My doctor had to renew the prescriptions as usual, but I was able to order them any time I wanted them. By the time they went out of business and I had to switch to a new company, I had a six month supply of each drug I needed.

The new insurance people changed the rules. I had to go to a "preferred" pharmacy to get the pills and they were very careful about the timing. I'm still six months ahead on all but the newest prescriptions.

I'll rescind my China comment. According to this mornings news, they are on a rampage again. Blowing up churches and burning bibles.

I don't think they are going to get very far using those tactics!

There is no democracy in China. "Xi Jinping is a Chinese politician serving as general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC), president of the People's Republic of China, and chairman of the Central Military Commission." Note the term Republic being used to describe China. In this case Xi has a lifetime tenure to serve. He is authoritarian and answers to nobody. It can be argued that Xi is doing what he thinks is best for his people and country, but your report of the tactics he is using is reminiscent of all despots in history. The scary part is that Donald Trump has great admiration for Xi Jinping and tries to emulate his style. Trump has publicly stated that he too would like to change the term limit of the presidency in this country. There is the trade war and various other differences, but the Trump family has benefited greatly from their business dealings in China. There is a lot of behind the scenes wheeling and dealing going on, but the Chinese do not seem to be as aggressive beyond their borders as are the Russian rulers.

Like the other poly-TICK-ians, although only a businessman, I'm sure Trump will make billions from being president.
That being said, I feel we are much better off with him being president than if Hillary would have got in.
She would have given our country to the UN, and the Muslims would be busy wiping us all out by now.

As has been happening all too often lately, neither of the two major candidates have a lot of good points in their favor. People who knew both Trump and Clinton before 2016 viewed them as criminal and politically corrupt respectively. Somehow corrupt seems better than criminal to my way of thinking.

One reason Donald Trump should not be president is his blatant violation of the emoluments clause in the constitution. He and his family are using their offices and political influence for personal financial gain. You might classify this as just more corrupt politics, but it goes beyond that given the criminal dealings behind it. Should the current federal and state investigations into the Trump family businesses be allowed to continue to their conclusion, we will see the Trump family stripped of their assets gained by illegal activity. I'm sure billions of dollars are involved.

You are aware that Mohammad Bin Salman Al Saud, the (Muslim) monarch's prince of a son in Saudi Arabia, and his open commission of murder, is being defended by president Trump, aren't you?

I don't believe even one-tenth of what I hear about Trump.
Mainly because none of it is substantiated with evidence.
Now Hillary on the other hand, all of her criminal offenses are blatant, documented, and proven.
Why she's not in prison is only because she's a Democrat and if she was arrested or charged, some Democrat judge would just pardon her. That's how they work!

Trump is not a lawyer so I doubt he is defending anyone.

My comment about Trump defending an Arab (Muslim) prince was a retort to your speculation about Hillary Clinton. I did not intend to imply Donald Trump was a lawyer. Apparently you are unfamiliar with the recent murder of an American journalist ordered by Mohammad Bin Salman Al Saud and the justification for not taking any action by the president.

See, that's where I get confused. Obama and Hillary let our people get killed when they could have done something about it and didn't.
Other than the power the USofA does hold over a few countries. We don't normally control what those other countries do in their own land. We can try to influence other nations to do what is right, but we cannot force them to on their own land.
Where was this American Journalist at the time of his death? Was he on foreign soil?

If a Christian gets beheaded in Muslim nation, we can be angry. But if that is what they do to Christians in that country, as bad is it may be, that is what they do there. Although sad, technically it is none of our business what they do in their own land. Our laws are not their laws.

In a nutshell, we cannot enforce Our Laws, or expect another country to use Our Laws in their own country.
No more than we should be expected to enforce Their Laws in our country. Although there are many here who want Sharia Law as our laws, the SANE people here DO NOT!

I'm not going to say much here because it's easy to misinterpret my concerns. The story behind the murder of a Washington Post columnist, Jamal Ahmad Khashoggi (assassinated at the Saudi Arabian consulate in Istanbul), has been headlined for weeks in the main stream media. Even Fox News got in on it. Your being unaware of this event says something important to me. While it's not an indictment of any kind against you, it clearly points out how you have arrived at some of the political conclusions you embrace.

Google Jamal Khashoggi if you are interested. I doubt it will change you mind about the current administration in Washington, but at least you can come away better informed.

To be honest Yogi, I may have seen it, read about it, or found it mentioned several times, but I don't retain the information long enough to remember it the next day, or even an hour later in some cases.

I'm also not much into politics either. When I know what candidates are running, I check into their past history, NOT what is aired on TV via paid advertisements or by other poly-TICK-ians. I will vote for the better person for the job, based on what they did in the past. So many will say anything during an election year to get elected, and then never follow through with what platform they stood on. Normally, one cannot trust mainstream media to get anything right either!

Amen to that brother! I like your approach. Unfortunately, I sense you did not do all your homework for the 2016 election.

I found no dirt on Trump, but found several garbage trucks filled to the brim on Hillary.
So my choice was simple in 2016! A lot easier than most other years.

I think we are going to find out soon exactly how social engineering works. It's a science perfected by the Russians and was developed in such places as Facebook - one of the reasons I don't like that place. I knew about the technique many years ago when Facebook was outed experimenting with the ads and news articles they fed to certain of their members. Little did I realize it was all a training ground for WW III, i.e., the cyber war the Russians are winning at the moment.

Nearly every awful thing Hillary has done is very well documented, and she is recorded saying most of them on public television herself.
I was a Democrat most of my life, even though I didn't like some of the things they did.
What affected the little guy was more important to me than what affected the big shots.
A simple example: When the Democrats were in office, my savings account grew. When the Republicans were in office, my savings account got drained. Which was almost opposite of what happened with the big shots.
But then the tables took an abrupt about face. The Democratic Party became Socialists, bordering on Communism and are continuing to grow worse by the day. They are no longer a party for the American People, and would rather see our country go under than do what is right!

Today's problem is not Hillary Clinton or the Democratic party. Today a RINO (Republican In Name Only), Donald Trump, is the president. We should be focusing on him and not what might have been with his opponent. Pointing the finger at somebody else's misdeeds does not justify the behavior of the current administration.

No complaints at all with Trump, he's doing exactly what we hired him to do!

I understand there are people living in this country who work every day towards destroying the system. Those who elected the current president to do exactly that should be proud of him. If that is truly the will of the people then so be it. But if it is intervention by a foreign government, that is an act of war. Time will tell. We are near the end game.

The Dems want to disarm honest citizens, arm criminals, allow all illegal aliens in, and have us pay for everything for them.

Trump wants to keep the illegals out, only let those in who do so legally, and stop the flow of drugs into our country.

A few years ago, the Dems said they wanted that, but did nothing, now they are dead set against protecting our country or our citizens and doing everything they can to destroy the country.

Not only are the Dems Traitors of our country, but their hate group should also be considered a terrorist organization.
And that my friend is coming from someone who's family were Democrats for generations, and have stopped supporting their socialist agenda.

I'm simply amazed that a person with such extensive exposure to the American Democratic Party has such a distorted view of what they stand for these days. But that's the problem in 2019. It's us or them and the facts of the matters are irrelevant.

The Republican Party is a left over organization from the days of the Confederate States of America. I'm not going to argue over that reality either, but I think we can both agree that for many generations the Republican Party embraced conservative values. Somewhere around the Ronald Regan era things changed. I can't say the change in political practices were entirely made within one party or the other. The way our government functioned after Regan, and after the Russians officially lost the Cold War, was not the same as the days prior. A lot of divisiveness and partisan politics became the norm. Attacking the office of the president has become the major goal of whichever party is in power. In other words, our political system has gradually lost it's sense of conservative and liberal values. Bipartisanship has degenerated into becoming a theory rather than a practice.

While the changes have been long noted by commentators of all sorts, nobody has come up with a credible explanation for why it all happened. The answer is obvious to me, but of course is simply my opinion. The losers of the Cold War have infiltrated our political system and are fulfilling Nikita Kruschev's prophesy of "we will bury you." By promoting dissension, the inborn strength of a united front crumbles. The Donald Trump presidency is the classic example of how dissension from within is being used to destroy our traditional government structures and decimate this country as a world class power. There will be arguments long after Donald Trump is gone over his actual role in the collapse of our system. It's clear to me anyway, that he is being used. He no longer represents those traditional conservative values upon which the Republican Party is built. The only question to be answered is whether or not the Republicans can survive as a party after the swamp is drained. We will see.
