The situation in Toronto is one of many that have changed the nature of warfare. It used to be lines of soldier in trenches tossing grenades and artillery shells at each other until nobody was left to fight. Then missals were invented, still involving a uniformed military to launch them. These days not only has the war itself changed from geopollitical grounds to culture wars, but also the methods have changed. It's full blown urban warfare wherein the enemy is not clearly identified and weapons are common everyday items; airplanes, motor vehicles, and cell phones for example. You could build a wall around every sidewalk, but the pedestrians on the walkway are the soldiers and the targets. They are home grown for the most part.

Some people are nervous about WW III being launched at any moment by a crazed autocrat with nuclear weapons. Those people are disillusioned. The war is in progress as I write this. Toronto is but one of many battle grounds.

A lot of school children and pedestrians have been murdered by misogynistic lone loons over the past year or so. They may not have all hated Christians, but they certainly did have a cause. It's a culture war I say.
