The key to understanding what is going on there is in the word miscegenation
Miscegenation (/mɪˌsɛdʒɪˈneɪʃən/; from the Latin miscere "to mix" + genus "kind") is the mixing of different racial groups through marriage, cohabitation, sexual relations, or procreation.[1] Because of the term's historical use in contexts that typically implied disapproval, more unambiguously neutral terms such as interracial, interethnic, or cross-cultural are more common in contemporary usage.
There are a lot of racial undertones surrounding Homer Stokes, and from what little I've read about it none of it is good.

'Dees boys is magenated' is hillbilly talk which may literally translate to 'these men are of mixed race."
