Fox For President

Post by yogi »

I try not to be too political and controversial here, but every so often something comes along that cannot be dismissed easily. This video is absolutely hilarious no matter what side of the political spectrum you are on. Enjoy:

He was a salesman by trade before entering politics. He got to be CEO of Coca Cola for Mexico and Latin America.
As a Federal Deputy and later Guanajuato Governor he developed an open government style that made him a contender to Mexico Persidency in 2000.
His marketology knack and blunt style marked his campaign, and the ideological support of the Centre-right PAN made him win Mexico's Presidency in 2000 (Yep, I voted for him).

As Mexico's President he had high and lows... Among the highs was the implementation of his Business Administration experience that promoted an economical stability that had been eluded our country since 1970 and became the first sexenio in many with an effective lowering of external debt, outward migration, growing Federal Housing programs, increased Infrastructure investment, Speech and Press freedom, and a reduction on Federal Accounts Secrecy.

We criticize him of not achieving a larger GDP growth, not placing an strategy against organized crime and not dismantling the Authoritarian Institutions built during the 70 year (at that moment) tenure of the PRI, but all in all I believe his term marked a turning point in Mexico's History, towards a more open and modern nation... We still have a lot to do, but the Presidential Pass of December 1, 2000 marked a turn to the correct direction.
