Re: worst date ever?
A toilet that won't flush? Sounds bogus to me, but it makes a good story.

Re: worst date ever?
The first question I have is how do they dispose of the waste if it doesn't flush?

Hmmm ... it's those things that are obvious which throw me most often. A temporary problem would automatically be circumvented by a bucket of water tossed in the bowl for the flushing. But yes, guests would have to be warned in advance.

there are some funky toilets over here... let's see... in this house (albert's) we have one of these:
now it's getting calcium deposits on the inside of the tubes, so keeps getting stuck...

That looks similar to the mechanics of what we had in the old house. The latest replacement looked nothing like that given that it was one of those low water usage toilets. It had things inside the box that made the water flow faster and harder given there was not as much of it in the new bowl. It was an amazing toilet that would go through it's entire flushing cycle by the time you could count to three.

I like the design, but I can't see ever being comfortable using it. The porcelain one we have is not easy to keep clean. That clear one must be impossible.

I do not think acrylic would be slippery enough to be useful as a toilet. You want as little as possible sticking to the bowl and I don't think acrylic can do that.

Pictures on the toilet lid ... I have to think about that one
