The consignment are two metal boxes with weight of about 25kg each (Internal dimension: W61 x H156 x D73 (cm). Effective capacity: 110 LBS.). Approximately, the details of the consignment including your name and address, the official document from United Nation office in London are tagged on the Metal Trunk boxes.

definitely a new one. trying to figure out the angle here... name, address, phone number, nearest airport, other details... what other details, I wonder what use all that would be.

also funny that he forgot the phone number, but copied down his email address again.

furthermore, there's no UN office in London, just an affiliated maritime office.

For one thing answering the e-mail will assure the sender that your e-mail address is alive and well. That will put it on active e-mail spam lists to be sold to other scammers who will split the jackpot with you. If you go even further, you will be asked for financial information in order to expedite or enable the transaction. It's obvious what some Russian hacker can do with your banking credentials. People who send those kind of e-mails are not expecting readers to actually fall for it. They are harvesting verified e-mail accounts and nothing more, which explains why HIS return address is listed twice in that message.
