the wee ones are off to motherland...

Post by pilvikki »

I. e. Canada!

isn't that kind of backwards - everybody else's is on this side? nevertheless, they headed to the airport at 3.30 for their 6.30 AM flight. like, are you kidding me?

punkin and didi just got back from Germany this morning, in a nasty wind storm, which has since settled down some. phew. but it's now raining instead. didi's going to be driving back, which is a good thing as I was up "early" (9) this morning. (I have to stay up to at least 2 and often I then can't go to sleep until 3 or 4.)

they'll be gone until mar 3rd and that leaves me without the wee ones a whole 2 weeks +! :sigh: well, one of them weeks i'll be catsitting albert again. :dance2:

ok, 4 AM. I think i'll hit the sack. :tiredPC:

Population of Canada: 35.16 million
Population of USA: 318.9 million

Given both countries are approximately the same size, the difference in population numbers is startling. Perhaps things will change. It looks as if the North Pole area is headed for 50+ degrees above their normal temperatures for a second year in a row. When all that ice finally melts the folks in Florida will be under water and looking for a drier place to go. The Northwest Territories just may experience a building boom.

it definitely will be interesting to see what happens! my house, about 160 m northeast of Toronto, would get winter temperatures of -35, -38 (-31, -33 or so) and sometimes up to +30 (86) in the summer. not often though.

we'd have wolves, bears, lynx, beavers, moose, otter, turtles, deer, blue herons, American bitterns etc roaming about.
