It looks like Chicago is further north than New York. Hard to believe that by looking at conventional maps.

it appears we have a really skewed view from our conventional maps.

It is indeed skewed because they are trying to take a rounded surface and present it as flat and two dimensional. Distortions are bound to be created that way.

Norway is only 15% the size of Greenland but more than 300% bigger than Iceland. Interesting map site. :geek:
