been waiting for my gr granddaughter for a couple of weeks now. you know the "anytime now" routine.

i'm getting quite anxious by now.

you will be a GREAT grandma. I can tell. That little bundle of joy will be well worth the wait.

i have a grainy old photo picturing yours truly as a baby + mother + her mother + her mother. so i was thinking of photoshopping pictures of silja, nikki, and alexa (?) into it in some way. that could make an interesting picture?

That should not be too too difficult to do. If you ever get it done, it would be interesting to see.

I don't blame the baby for taking it's time, but somehow I figured it was due a week ago

well, late arrival runs in the family: i had a 'firm' date for my youngest being dec 31st.

despite eviction notices she refused to budge until feb 8th.

by then i was wondering if i'd soon be growing tusks and a trunk.

So, was it a 10 month baby, or did somebody guess wrong about the starting date?

i'm guessing it was a glitch in my system, which always has been hinky, for i knew to the day she ought to have shown up. there was full moon in january, around the 10th or something and i said to my dearly beloved "oh bh! i've another month to go to the next full moon!"

well, he laughed his head off, of course. but sure enough, just before next full moon, here she is.

The full moon, and falling barometers, have been observed to encourage a trip down the birth canal. But, there are things that could be done to trick Mother Nature. So, I'm guessing the baby was 10 months old when delivered.
