Tiger Mozzies

Post by yogi »

As if you folks living in the south of France do not have enough problems, there is a Red Alert out for an invasion of Tiger mosquitoes this summer. They carry some awful diseases with them so that precautions must be taken. I have no idea how to protect yourself from mosquitoes, but here is the article.

thank you for the heads up!

i told the kids and neighbours etc, but really, what can you do about it? we already (ok, me) check for anything that could be a potential breeding place, but what else? i can't use anything with DEET and don't cherish the thought of marinating the kids in it either.

so, off to find some citronella plants but even so it's a crap shoot.

bugger.

I hear bats eat mosquitoes three meals a day. Maybe you can encourage them to live in your barn ... or something
