First it was Skype, and then Nokia. Now Microsoft has purchased (for cash) LinkedIn. All this just to sell their Office products?

Microsoft On The Move
Re: Microsoft On The Move
I didn't realize LinkedIn was so big.
Although I'm on it, they made some changes not too long ago which kept me from using it for a long time.
One of their most important features, the ability to Endorse your connections, was disabled when they changed how they display things. It would come back for a few days, then go away for a week or more.
It got so bad, many of us were only checking LinkedIn once a week to see if they fixed it. Then once a month for a couple of months. They finally got it back working again, but it no longer has the allure it once had for me.
I really do wonder what makes it worth so much money?
