If you are running Microsoft Windows (any version) and also have QuickTime (from Apple) installed, the Department of Homeland Security CERT thinks you are making yourself vulnerable to attack by malicious software. Apparently Apple has stopped support for QuickTime on Windows and that leaves it vulnerable to attack. The solution is simple. Remove QuickTime immediately. There are quite a few alternatives that are much safer.
