Re: Managed Desktop

Thanks for all the Links Yogi. I'm saving them for future reference. Windows LOVES to steal control of everything. Basically, when I plugged in the WIN10 machine, it STOLE control of the LAN, which knocked all the Linux computers off-line. Took me awhile to learn how to take control of my LAN back f...

Re: 14 Year Old Governor

One of our dairies back home, used to package a second line cream (from the same vat as the normal cream, after they finished their normal run) in a round paper cylinder that was sealed on the end, filled and then turned 90 degrees to seal the top. My mom preferred these end of run filled cylinders....

Re: Peak Dating Ages

Don't kid yourself Pil. One of the gals on the site I used, read something like, "Short and Pleasingly Plump, homespun middle-aged gal, looking for a serious lifelong relationship with Mr. Right." She found her Mr. Right and probably married about 12 to 15 years by now. I see them online every once ...

Re: Dancing?

I spent months trying to find a wristband or armband style Pulse/Oximeter to wear while exercising. Every single one needed a Schmartz-Fone. The one I tried first, you couldn't even set the time on the watch without using a Schmartz-Fone. So I went back to using my Finger Clip type. I have poor circ...

Re: Rock And Roll

The concrete they use today is nothing like the concrete of 100 years ago. All of the concrete drives on our farms between 1890 and 1920 were still looking great in 1984. Those poured after 1950 needed repairs or replaced in the 1970s. The same is true about mortar used with laying blocks and bricks...

Re: Managed Desktop

On a different note. The Win10 computer my wife was using. I wanted to copy all of her files over to her older but better computer she got from her son. It won't let me in. We've tried the two passwords she used with it to no avail. She had them written down in her book, the first one, and then scra...

I have several accounts in mine also, but I have nothing under Local except the two fields they place. The main thing I like about TBird is the ability to use a different outgoing server for each account. What I have not done yet is set up my e-mails on my host provider so I can use my domain name f...

Re: Rock And Roll

I did find it, but not with an image, and sold by a different company. It used to be sold by Ready Mix as PM-30 Concrete Patch. Nu Way shows it without an image but only at 50 pound size. http://www.nuwayinc.com/ProductDetail.aspx?prdid=2083 I think perhaps better products have taken it's place. Con...

Re: Dancing?

I saw something on one of the random websites I hit looking for something I was searching. Health watches that do not require a Schmartz-Fone. Landed on an wrist watch that can hold your credit card scan data. Flip open the side and plug it into the credit card readers. Looks like something that wil...

Re: 14 Year Old Governor

I had to change to a cap on my product that seals the bottle. Most annoying for the people who buy it, as they have to remove the cap, take off the seal, and you know they never come all the way off, which can cause a leak under the cap. Not only did this added part cost more, it was extra work to i...

Re: Managed Desktop

I jumped back in because I found a short note in my file from the old WinXP days. To send a message to another Win XP computer, all I had to do was hit START, RUN, type CMD and hit Enter. A box would pop-up where I typed Net Send. Then it would request to which computer, and a box for the message. L...

Re: Managed Desktop

If you use Thunderbird, you'll see the very bottom e-mail type has a field called LOCAL. In my case, my top e-mail account is my personal e-mail, and has subfolders. Under that is my business account, and it too has folders. Then under that, automatically added by Thunderbird is one marked LOCAL. No...

Re: 14 Year Old Governor

Having worked in the food service industry, and as part owner of a couple of restaurants, I'm well aware of how easily foods and what they are served on can become contaminated. I really miss being able to buy the stick bread pretzels sold downtown by charity groups and churches. Standing on a stree...

Re: Dancing?

Many stores now use a pen to check to see if a bill is counterfeit or not. If they only knew how unreliable this was they wouldn't waste their time. All a counterfeiter has to do is treat his paper with a chemical that fools these pens. However, he would have to know ahead of time, which brand of se...

A product you can get in Missouri that I've not found down here, I used extensively for repair jobs and it held up great. Normally I used it to cover weathered or stained foundation walls, but also used it to resurface sidewalks who's surface crumbled. On foundations, I would only work like three fe...

Re: Peak Dating Ages

Ahem Yogi! Debi and I met on a dating site, and we just celebrated 17 years of a very happy marriage. In fact, numerous couples who met on this dating site and got married are still happily married. There are different kinds of dating websites, some are for swingers, some are for sex, and there are ...

Thunderbird has lots of features now, and one I started to use but stopped, because my frau uses web-mail on-line. Tbird will let you have local (on your own LAN) e-mail accounts. However, it also requires static IP addresses, so I didn't bother with using it. A few years back, I had a program on my...

Re: Rock And Roll

I wish I could remember the name of it, but I used a concrete colored sealant on my mom's driveway before she sold the house. It looked like a new driveway, and even several years later, 8 to 10 years later when we drove by, it still looked like the day I did it. It was not just a paint on item. I h...
